We’re beyond excited to introduce you to NZ02, the first commercially available hop variety to come out of our long-term Hāpi Research hop breeding program in partnership with Freestyle Hops. This new Hazy IPA isn’t just a new release — it’s a landmark moment. NZ02 is a hop we helped bring to life from the ground up: from seedling selection to field trials, sensory evaluation, test brews and now finally, into the glass.
Lusciously aromatic and fruit-forward, NZ02 brings notes of passionfruit icing, lychee, and wild strawberry, layered over a base of sun-ripened nectarine and juicy peach. It's soft, expressive, and full of character — a truly unique profile that captures everything we hoped for when the Hāpi Research journey began.
