CAPTAIN MORGAN BLACK SPICED RUM 40% 1LTR

Captain Morgan Spiced Black is a blackstrap rum made with select spices including clove and cassia bark and is aged in a double charred blackened oak barrel.  It pours to a Coca Cola deep mahogany brown color.  The aroma is vanilla, oak, cinnamon, clove, molasses and allspice.  The creamy vanilla entry has a sweet cherry backing.  Cinnamon, cola, molasses, and oak flavor arrive at the midpoint before fading with vanilla buttercream and clove flavor.  There is a peppery sting with bittersweet molasses and vanilla flavor on the dry warm oak finish.  At 94.6 proof there probably won’t be too many sipping this rum, but it really has the feel of something much lighter, and the vanilla and cherry lead combination of flavors is quite tasty.
