Vivacity and finesse of tannins are the two main characteristics of wines produced by the Fournié family for nearly a quarter of a century. Domaine Haut-Monplaisir wants the most natural wines possible. Tasted in their youth, Malbecs are characterised by their dark dress and intense notes of black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry, blueberry) that point in the nose and assert themselves in the mouth. Forgotten in the cellar for a few years, these authentic local wines are subsidised to reveal other undergrowth aromas and make way for truffled notes... as if to invite the lover of great wines to marry the nectars of Domaine Haut Monplaisir with the "Black Diamond of Quercy", for an exceptional meal.
