ROE & CO BLENDED IRISH WHISKEY DUBLIN 45% 700ML

An exciting return to the Irish whiskey market from drinks giants Diageo, after they offloaded Bushmill’s a few years back.

The whiskey is named after George Roe, who owned a distillery next door to the Guinness brewery in Dublin. At one point this distillery was the largest in Ireland, and it operated for over a hundred years.

This is a lovely blend of pot still single malt Irish whiskey, and high quality grain whiskeys, each of which have been aged for a minimum of five years. Roe & Co is matured entirely in former Bourbon American oak casks, the majority of which are first fill.

This whiskey is bottled at 45% ABV, and without chill filtration, giving it a wonderful power and texture. Drinkers should expect grassy Irish pot still notes, alongside a strong flavour of apple and pears, and a little spicy oak.
