CABLE BAY WAIHEKE ISLAND SYRAH 2021

This wine is made from grapes grown on naturally low yielding, 23-year-old vines. As a consequence, the fruit has concentration, depth and complexity in flavour. On the nose, the wine expresses dried herbs and blackcurrant. On the palate it is opulent and velvety in texture, full of seduction and is well poised, showing hints of rhubarb, dark cherry and cocoa beans. This wine is both intense and delicate with great concentration. A lovely reflection of the 2020 season.
